Queen Rearing Workshop announced from Highlands Beekeepers Association and the Washington County Extension Office. The program is for beekeepers interested in learning more about the development and sale of queen bees, and will be held in the Executive Auditorium of the Southwest Virginia Higher Education Center in Abingdon, Virginia on Saturday, May 5, 2018 from 8:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Our instructors are Virginia State Apiarist Keith Tignor and Dr. James Wilson, VT Extension Apiculturist, and will include an afternoon hands-on grafting workshop. The cost of the class is $35 and is limited to 100 participants.
