Tom Poisal is the “Voice of the Toppers” for Science Hill High School on ESPN Tri-Cities and has previously announced the JUCO Baseball World Series, hosted sports talk shows on FOX Sports Radio Tennessee, and broadcast for Diamond Clear Media. He also co-owned and served as senior writer for Top Tier Football, covering fantasy football nationally, and is the only fantasy football analyst to be ranked No. 1 in weekly rankings in consecutive weeks by FantasyPros.
Poisal brings nearly three decades of experience in education, athletics, and sports media to the ESPN Tri-Cities microphone. He has spent 29 years in education as a teacher, coach, athletic director, and administrator at both the middle and high school levels across Tennessee and Georgia. In sports media, he has worked as a play-by-play announcer, radio host, and writer.
Bart Lyon has provided color commentary on ESPN Tri-Cities with the Hilltoppers for 12 years. A former Hilltopper player from 1987–89, he was a member of Coach Bob May’s 1988 Big 10 Conference Championship team. He oversaw the Jr. Toppers Youth Football Program from 1999 to 2023 and served as Head Coach of Liberty Bell Middle School from 2007 to 2011, compiling an impressive 38–3 record over five seasons. In 2014, he assisted with the Toppers freshman team and also joined the ESPN Tri-Cities Hilltoppers broadcasting team that same year.
Additionally, he spent 33 seasons as a TSSAA basketball official and 10 years as a college basketball official, working in the Appalachian Athletic Conference, South Atlantic Conference, and Tennessee JUCO.
