The Arizona Cardinals have reached an agreement with wide receiver Michael Wilson on a three-year, $75 million contract extension that keeps him under contract through the 2029 season. The deal includes $47 million guaranteed and can reach $78 million in total value, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter. Wilson had been entering the final season of his rookie contract after Arizona selected him in the third round of the 2023 NFL Draft out of Stanford.
Wilson emerged as a major part of Arizona’s passing game in 2025. The 26-year-old established career highs with 78 receptions, 1,006 yards and seven touchdowns while playing all 17 games, including 13 starts. He produced his first 1,000-yard season after a relatively quiet opening stretch and finished the year with 775 receiving yards over his final eight games, per NBC Sports.
Wilson’s development gives Arizona another long-term piece alongside tight end Trey McBride and wide receiver Marvin Harrison Jr. Wilson has recorded at least 545 receiving yards and three touchdowns in each of his first three seasons, while his 126 targets in 2025 were also a career best. He has totaled 163 catches for 2,119 yards and 14 touchdowns in 46 career games, including 38 starts.
The extension also represents a significant commitment from the Cardinals as they enter a new season under coach Mike LaFleur. Wilson is expected to remain an important component of the offense even with Harrison healthy, following a 2025 campaign in which he became increasingly prominent as Arizona’s season progressed. The Cardinals open the 2026 regular season Sept. 13 against the Los Angeles Chargers.
